AVALA is an accredited mammography center by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Women’s Imaging at AVALA features state-of-the-art 3D digital tomosynthesis technology providing detailed, clearer images for more accurate results. AVALA’s top-notch services include both 3D digital mammograms as well as diagnostic mammograms for those who may have had recent changes in the breasts.

3D DIAGNOSTIC BREAST MAMMOGRAPHY
Offering comprehensive and detailed views of the breast. Our 3D technology helps diagnose breast cancers quicker and with more accuracy and reducing the rate of false positives.
DIAGNOSTIC BREAST ULTRASOUND
For higher resolution, fully focused imaging our ultrasound technology can help determine if there is a breast abnormality and what type it may be. A breast ultrasound is ordered to evaluate signs and symptoms of breast cancer in order to review the findings seen on a mammogram or breast MRI exam.
AVALA’s breast ultrasound utilizes sound waves to create images of body tissue in order to get a closer look at an area of concern.
BREAST MRI
Our 1.5T MRI with a 16-Channel Breast Coil, provides clearer detailed images making it an excellent supplemental tool for women that are at high risk for breast cancer, those with implants or dense breast tissue. Benefits of our MRI:

DEXA BONE DENSITY SCAN
As women age, it is important to understand how the body changes and to take a moment to schedule any preventative maintenance necessary. Our facility now offers DEXA Scans for bone densitometry, giving women the clearest imagery possible into understanding their bodies and their risk for certain diseases like osteoporosis.
