Covington, Louisiana – Avala, a Louisiana-based healthcare organization and the leader in robotic surgery, has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2020 honor by The Times-Picayune and New Orleans Advocate for the second year in a row.

“Avala employees enjoy coming to work every day knowing that they are helping someone, they may never have met before, improve their quality of life by having a surgical procedure,” said Scott Boudreaux, Avala CEO.

“The patient might come in as a stranger but after receiving the “Avala Experience” provided by our employees they leave as a friend. It is an honor to work with individuals who truly care about others.”

The list of winners is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 drivers of engaged cultures that are critical to the success of any organization: including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“In times of great change, it is more important than ever to maintain a connection among employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward based on real-time insights into what works best for your organization. The Top Workplaces program can be that positive outcome your company can rally around in the coming months to celebrate leadership and the importance of maintaining an employee-focused culture, even during challenging times.”

Avala knows that making a positive impact on both our patients and each other takes a team of individuals that are committed to excellence.

“It is a privilege to work with my Avala colleagues whose dedication and passion exemplify who we are as an organization,” said Eddy Vargas, Avala HR and Ancillary Services Director. “It is their steadfast dedication that leads to our superior level of patient care.”

“It is their passion for Avala that ensures our culture remains positive, uplifting, and meaningful. A sincere appreciation to each of our team members.”
