Covington, Louisiana – AVALA announces that it has received Advanced Hip & Knee Replacement Certification from DNV. This certification affirms an organization’s excellence in orthopedic surgery within the scope of hip and knee arthroplasty and related procedures, including initial diagnostic services, surgical services, and hip and knee replacement care therapies. This certification was achieved under AVALA’s Advanced Orthopedic and Spine Center of Excellence, one of only two hospitals nationwide with this designation from DNV.

The ERAS® Society Orthopedic guidelines inform the DNV Advanced Hip and Knee Replacement Certification requirements, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons guidelines, and relevant requirements from CMS Conditions of Participation for Hospitals.
