Covington, Louisiana – October is nationally recognized as Physical Therapy Month by the American Physical Therapy Association to spread awareness of physical therapy’s many benefits. Physical activity is an important part of everyone’s life as it keeps us happy, healthy, and thriving.
“National Physical Therapy Month is an opportunity every year to take time to recognize the outstanding impact physical therapists and physical therapist assistants have on society and health care,” said the APTA. “It’s also an opportunity to amplify awareness of the profession in our communities.”
Physical therapy helps not only for patients’ recovery after surgery, but also for pain management, mobility improvements, and as a conservative treatment option if surgery is not desired. Over 46% of patients nationwide have received relief in some form from spine pain after participating in physical therapy. Since a wide range of conditions can be treated with physical therapy, such as osteoarthritis and chronic back pain, 41% of patients nationwide have found it to be the most effective alternative treatment option.
Here at AVALA, we think of therapy a little differently. We deliver patient focused care through research-guided treatment plans in order to provide pain relief and restoration to everyday life. Our therapists transform the average clinical visit into an experience where patients are the priority. Our team crafts individualized plans for each patient to ensure they receive top quality care that yields results.
AVALA specializes in a range of treatment plans and therapies such as,

The growth of the physical therapy field has grown exponentially with better and more technologically advanced practices being created frequently. AVALA will always strive to provide patients with the best treatment options and a first-class experience that you cannot find anywhere else!
