HOW TO WATCH FOOTBALL LIKE A PRO
Football season is now in full swing in South Louisiana, which is typically a great time. Now it’s the time to ask yourself, do I want to stay home and watch it from the comfort of my own couch, or do I want to feel the action in person and maybe eat a hotdog or two?
Although it seems like an easy choice (to stay home), nothing beats the adrenaline and excitement of a Louisiana Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium or Superdome Sundays. The problem with stadium seating is that it is just plain UNCOMFORTABLE. The seats are hard, some stadiums have only bleachers, and the rows are jam-packed so tight that sometimes you may be kneeing the people sitting in front of you!
So, once you finally get to go home after your team’s mighty victory (fingers crossed), you go to stand up, and BAM – your knees are weak, your hips are tired, and your back is aching!
How can you prevent this from happening in the first place?
Well, option number 1 would be to watch the game from the comfort of your own home. You can control all variables of your experience, including the a/c settings. However, this cannot really beat the hustle and bustle of a true American football game at the stadium.
The only other option you have is to go to the game in person! To keep your back and knees in working order post-victory, here are some tips for enjoying the big game from the home stadium:
Invest in a stadium seat or cushion for those hard plastic seats.
- A soft cushion will help you feel more comfortable seated for a long time. Leaving your back in less pain when leaving!
- The ergonomic way to sit has been proven to be better for your back health!
- Whether you are trying to get a better view of the plays or standing in line for concessions, try to make these bursts quick for your back’s sake.
If you can’t help yourself and must stand, try to take several breaks.
- Your knees will thank you by the end of the game!
