Minimally Invasive Surgery
Minimally invasive spine surgery is a new way to treat your neck and low back pain, without huge incisions and cutting through muscle tissue to access the spine. Instead, our physicians use the smallest incisions possible, sometimes less than half an inch, and maneuver through the muscles in your body, pushing them out of the way, rather than cutting them. Most patients are up and walking the same day after surgery.
- BENEFITS OF MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY
- Less Pain
- Smaller Scars
- Less Blood Loss
- Smaller Risk of Infection
- Shorter Hospital Stay
- Cutting-Edge Technology
Are you experiencing any of these symptoms?
If you frequently experience neck, arm, back, or leg pain, and conservative treatments have stopped working for you; it may be time to consult an Avala physician about minimally invasive surgery.
Neck or Arm Pain
The location and the range of motion of the cervical vertebrae often leaves the neck unprotected and subject to injury. Neck pain can occur anywhere in your neck, from the bottom of your head to the top of your shoulders. It can spread to your upper back or arms. It may limit how much you can move your head and neck.

Back and Leg Pain
Low back and leg pain can range from mild, dull, annoying pain, to persistent, severe, disabling pain. Low back pain can restrict mobility and interfere with normal functioning and quality of life. Low back pain can often be the result of improper lifting causing muscle strain. However, more serious back pain can result from a lumbar disc herniation or lumbar degenerative disc disease.
