Covington, Louisiana – AVALA has partnered with Cerner, a global leader in healthcare technology, to modernize its system wide electronic medical record (EMR) and revenue cycle management system.
“This is a pivotal step in our mission to create greater trust between our physicians and patients thus improving the quality of care we provide our communities,” said Samer Shamieh, M.D., AVALA Medical Director. “This conversion will establish a unified system for our physicians and clinical teams in order to deliver enhanced care coordination for our patients and their families.”
AVALA’s newest cloud based EMR system Cerner Millennium®, is a healthcare IT platform designed to support a patient’s care journey across the continuum of patient care. At AVALA, this encompasses everything from specialized hospital programs, individualized inpatient care, comprehensive diagnostic imaging, and therapy outpatient programs to include its growing physician network.
“The successful launch of this new platform is the result of a joint effort between Cerner and AVALA’s robust technical team that has a combined Cerner implementation experience of over 32 years,” said J.
