The OMNI Surgical System is the only micro-invasive surgical treatment of glaucoma that addresses all 3 points of a patient’s natural aqueous (fluid) outflow of the eye. Without proper outflow, a patient’s IOP (intraocular pressure) raises causing damage to a patient’s optic nerve, resulting in a slow, irreversible blindness.
Glaucoma drops can help reduce the body’s natural aqueous humor (fluid that keeps your eye healthy) production to keep eye pressure under control however, the drops are very burdensome, expensive, and over time, can be toxic to a patient’s eye.
The OMNI can be used can be performed in combination with cataract surgery or performed as a stand-alone surgery that reduces a patient’s eye pressure, medication burden, and preserves a patient’s field of vision long term.
